Peacefully passed away in the Grace of our Lord
on August 1, 2007, at the age of 78
Her beloved husband, Luciano Flormata Fernandez, children and spouses, Winnie & Alice Fernandez and Malu & Kevin Sullivan, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Walurich & Raymond Dacanay (Patricia & Kiana), Richie & Cris Wong ( Agatha, Seb & Tiel), Luciano Lu & Joanabelle Fernandez ( Lou Dominic), Crystal & Felix Buenaobra (Shawn Derek), Wanda & Simon Vistro (John, Rochel, Luke & James) and Annie Lu Chuck, all relatives and friends request prayers for the repose of her soul.
Her remains lie in state at their residence at #1460 Rizal Extension Dagupan City (Aug. 2-3, 2007) and will be transferred to Eternal Gardens Chapel after 11:00 am mass at St Therese Parish Church on August 4, 2007.
Interment will be on August 5, 2007 after a 10 a.m. mass at the Eternal Gardens, Dagupan City.

We, friends of Mr. Jesus Sison, columnist of MALAYA, here in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, extend our prayerful condolence to his family for his passing. We, who have worked with him will miss him. He was a “Good Man.”

VILLASIS–Rodrigo “Ding” Galletes, publisher of the local weekly The Observer (formerly The Ilocano Observer) based in Eastern Pangasinan passed away Saturday night due to kidney problem.
His body lies in state at their residence in Zone 4 of this town. Interment is set on June 14 at the municipal cemetery.
Galletes ran but lost as provincial board member for fifth district in the May 14 elections.
He is survived by his wife, Maya, and 11 children. —EVA
Msgr. Leon Ver Bitanga, who passed away last April 19, 2007, was finally laid to rest at the Manila Memorial Park on April 22, 2007. He was 93 years old. He served as the director of the St. John’s School and spearheaded the construction of the new St. John’s Cathedral in Dagupan City.
A popular priest among Dagupenos, many regularly flocked to his celebration of the Holy Mass at the Annunciation of the Lord Parish Church in Bonuan, Dagupan City Cathedral, and at the Colegio de Dagupan church.
Born in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte, he was ordained as a priest in 1938 at age 24. He had been assigned in Pangasinan ever since.
At the time of his death, he was a protonotary apostolic which is the highest rank of a monsignor.
