FOR security guard Eddie O. Dingle, honesty remains a good policy.
While on duty at the parking area of SM City Rosales at around 5 p.m. last February 20, he found a black pouch inside a push cart that has already been abandoned, picked it up and immediately brought it to the mall’s Customer Relations Service (CRS) office for proper disposition and safe keeping.
When the black pouch was itemized for record purposes, it was discovered to contain more than P59,000 in cash and a passbook with a balance of more than P1 million.
At around 6:35 p.m. of the same day, Hurley John S. Solfelix , a Christian pastor residing in San Manuel town personally appeared at the CRS office looking for a black pouch bag.
After careful verification, the pouch was returned to Solfelix.
