Re: Sports Eye – The cycling champ that never was
At last, after years of vehement denials, Lance Armstrong, the personification of what cycling is all about, finally come clean in taking performance-enhancing drugs to boost his stamina to garner seven Tour de France crowns, unequaled in the history of this sport since it started in 1903.
He was stripped naked of his titles, lost all his commercial endorsements and booted out of the cancer foundation Livestrong Charity he zealously protected.
HIS SWAN SONG . . .
With head hanging in shame, his life in tatters, his future uncertain he could barely muster to say; “I am sorry.” A dopehead who defied logic, and the god of misfortune eventually caught up with him.
Accordingly, the Union Cyliste International issued a guideline, that all winnings Armstrong won in the Tour de France, should be return at once.
His fortune of one hundred ($100M) million dollars, could be up for grabs, when all the donors will litigate to get their money back. When all is said and done, he should be poorer than that dirt bag Jeffrey Hillman of New York.
THE TOUR de FRANCE OF DOPE . . .
Since 1998, the 3rd of the top cyclist of this famed and grueling sport had been involved in doping activity.
The American – Floyd Landis, the 2006 champion was denied his crown on this issue. He was injecting his veins with epitestosterone.
Some of the world’s best were also involved like the likes of …. Contador, Basso, Ulrich, Rumsas, Vinokourov, Leiphemer and many more.
THE INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE . . .
There’s also talk of pulling from Armstrong neck, the Bronze Medal he won at Sydney in 2000.
THE PINOY SIDE . . .
How clean is … Jesus Garcia … and his bunch of local talents? Are they free of enhancing drugs, where its enforcement is nil?
There’s loose talk they’re as dirty as Hell!
