Re: Think about it – Colonel Sonny Versoza
Jun Velasco . . . should start using a new set of eyeglasses. He should be using something that will correct shortsightedness.
He misread, what Pareng Spines did to El Coronel, that with so much soul searching eventually went with Versoza; against the wishes of PNP’s big dog – rather than Magaway (his antennae telling him ompano naynay … MAGAAWAY silang dalawa) knowing he couldn’t put a short leash on him who has a flair of independence. With election on the horizon – Pareng Spines couldn’t afford a pit bull he can’t control.
The art of Don Vito . . .
Everybody was caught flatfooted, when Pareng Spines went out his way, to double back and pull Coronel Versoza from the dung heap, and install him as his enforcer knowing he’s well-connected with Victor Agbayani.
A very astute move, I give him that (Excuses Baraan’s idea?) on the part of Pareng Spines. It was an ordinary Hitchcock mystery case and not a classic textbook exercise on The Prince or The Art of War – but it was his love affair with the movies he did not forget the immortal line: “Keep your friends close, your enemies closer.”
With El Coronel close by and being watched all the time, Victor’s hopes and dreams of having somebody embedded deep in the war room of Pareng Spines, is just but a dream.
And Vic’s dream a la Big Mac of that, “I shall return” bull coming back big time, is also a dream.
Hallucinations …. not the name of the game!
Anybody close to the ears of Vic’s, tell him Pareng Spines’ a hard nut to crack.
