It is a long-awaited move to finally repair the hospitals. I hope that Mr. Governor will also see to it that all the facilities in the hospital like beds and other basic needs of the patients will be provided.

As I mentioned in my previous comments, the cost of hospitalization in government hospitals are becoming too expensive.

In 1988 my sister-in law had normal delivery in Bolingit (Provincial Hospital) and they paid less than a thousand pesos, but, recently on May 1, 2008, my other sis-in-law gave birth on normal delivery too and the bill was P8,450, fortunately the director gave them P1000 discount and they ended up paying P7450.

Also, maybe you can also check the doctor’s fees…. I believe these doctors receive salary from the government and yet they charge more than 5,000 pesos for normal delivery patient.
