Rachel replies

(Administrator: To comments posted expressing doubts on her claimed educational background, the following is the response of Rep. Rachel Arenas obtained by Eva Visperas March 27, 2008)

“I took my course in Negotiations and Dispute Resolution at JFK School of Government at Harvard University, and again a campaign leadership seminar. I graduated at Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy for my master’s degree. To verify, Nileema Noble, head of UNDP, was my classmate and dorm mate…they can call her.”

The Promises of GMA in January 11, 2002: Read them  at http://www.ops.gov.ph/speeches2002/speech-2002jan11.htm.

Compare them with what is happening now!

Mr. Ceralde, this organization must be the new mistake of the art keystone cops on the block. The sleuths who came up with the incredible tale were the same ones who blasted their way into the Peninsula Hotel?

The organization with phalanxes of multi-star generals in my mind, is Filipino’s heavy cross on their shoulders after an equally corrupt Garci’s phone mate.

The mediocrity and at times overzealous rank and file members jumping the gun to please the hierarchy instead of assisting citizens paying their wages is appalling.

It is not far fetched one of these days, security forces will impose upon those entering the malls to submit stool specimen. No stool specimen, No entry!

What would be the spokesperson justification? It is for the prevention of another Krakatoa blasting away as you roll the paper prelude to the amazing flush!

Arenas personally stated that she is a Harvard graduate if Mr. Gabriel Cardinoza of Sun Star and Mr. Jun Velasco did not misquote her.

The first was on January 07, 2006 at the Regency Hotel where Mr. Cardinoza stated that she flaunted her credential as a fresh Harvard graduate and the second was at the Peoples Astrodome where she was quoted by Mr. Jun Velasco while addressing the graduates of AIM Ecommerce where she declared that though a Harvard graduate with vast job offers abroad …blah…blah.

Then Tony Lopez of Manila Times and LM of Sunday Punch in February 2007 stated that she is a Harvard graduate.

I believe she has a lot to explain. There are plenty of people around us who claim to be graduates especially those from the Claro M. Recto University.

Edener Benitez Fabella,

I was reading your posting of “There’s a kind of ‘flush’” and was practically floored when a friend of mine from the Filipino Association National Historical Society (FANHS) sent me an email on “Filipino dishing/Using Gas against Terror as an alternative WMD.

The story line goes on like this “The Glorietta Shopping Mall (Manila 2007) blast is being blamed by Philippine police on methane gas from sh.. under the old Makati Supermarket building . Ever since the police made their report known, the world is fearing Filipinos, as the people with the most explosive s..t in the world.”

WOW two flush stories in a week. All courtesy of the government you mentioned. Let’s just hope there is still hope to reverse the current ineptitude and tendency to follow a fake leader. So I could go home without getting a colonoscopy before I board the 18-hour flight.

Mr. Carrera, there you go again. You are really good in twisting the opinion of others.

At least you are being honest when you said, “I believe there are people who know how to read but refuse to understand what they are reading or shall we say they are always in denial mode like GMA.” Ang masaklap nga lamang ay mukhang nagbo-boomerang or nagba-backfire sa inyo.

I agree with you when you said, “I believe the problems cannot be solved or anyone can contribute to the betterment if we keep on denying the problems.”

It is even worse if we keep on denying the solutions to the problems, di ba?
