Ed Pontaoe:

Ed, when can we age to maturity and be more responsible? It’s absolutely disgusting, these politicians are enemies of prosperity and development.

Clutching tightly their brown bags after their breakfast meeting with PGMA, all sold their souls to the highest bidder. Gone are the checks and balances of the gov’t. Do you think we can impeach PGMA when the ZTE or any scandalous acts brought to the fore against her?

Giving dole-outs to buy loyalties in addition to widespread corruption is the cause of having the highest cost of running the Phil gov’t. Majority of our politicians are either corrupt or incompetent.

A litany of what I know: is Speaker JDV paying his annuity for his Landoil loan of $130 million from the World Bank guaranteed by the gov’t (Marcos regime)?

Tobacco Ramos (FVR) his total assets maxed out exponentially (PC chief and after his presidency), PGMA’s total assets (make your guess to include office building in LA), etc.

It’s all wrong priorities. Instead of having a battle plan for economy to win, the gov’t is out of control.

The PCE Sr. and the PCE Jr.:

The PCE Sr. Mr. Jun Velasco said Henry Ford invented the car and now the PCE Jr. Mr. Al S. Mendoza said “As everyone now knows, Toyota invented the first hybrid car in 1997-the Prius”.

PCE Jr. was able to communicate with Andy Poe many years after Andy Poe died, and now he wants to change history like PCE Sr.

PCE Jr.’s claim that everyone knows that Toyota invented the first hybrid car in 1997 is not correct.

The first hybrid car was built in 1898 by Dr. Ferdinand Porsche at the age of 23. Googled it and here’s the address: http://www.hybrid-car-central.com/hybrid/History-Hybrid-car.html.

Ladies and gentlemen, may I present the newly “invented” member of the PCE SOCIETY.

Is the office of the City Agriculturist Emma Molina the right venue to collect fees for fishpen operators in Dagupan? Isn’t it the City Treasurer’s office?

For the Bonuan Bangus Industry to prosper and able to compete in the world market, the Phil Fisheries Commission (Do we have one?) should conduct demonstration seminars on hybrid bangus culture.

Taiwan and Thailand is much advanced and are in control of the bangus market in the USA, the Middle East and Canada. We’re not even third. They culture bangus (Bonuan hybrid stolen from us) not in fishponds, estuaries or coastal bays but in floating cages in public water or open bays.

Taiwan and Thailand have perfected their fishfeeds, control of biological fouling (fishkill), water oxygenation and fishwaste removal. Bangus in cage culture grow faster at high densities, lower cost, easy treatment of parasites and diseases.

Ideal place for cage culture is the Alaminos Hundred Islands and the town of Anda. Is our Fisheries Commission has something to offer to uplift the plight of our struggling Bonuan bangus industry? Getting paid for nothing?

Please do something to educate our bangus producers not collecting exorbitant fees. Conduct research: is the water quality of Hundred Islands or the town of Anda conducive to bangus culture?

Killing the goose that lays the golden egg is not the solution.

By the will of the all mighty yen, Mr. Al Mendoza, thou shalt enjoy. Your itinerary in Japan looks like it’s made in heaven. Just off that plane from Manila, you’re conveyed briskly to the ecstasy land of the Samurai.

At Manyo-No-Nu, no bullstuff, it’s spa time. Immersing yourself . . . for two hours . . . in the real Japanese style of spring-like warm water with an exhaustible service at your beck and call. This is where your host mastered the art of relaxation, unsurpassed by anything offered under the sun.

That’s why your visit to Japan, is always a new beginning, the re-invention of yourself, under the supple fingers of the ever accommodating geisha. It’s neither the trip nor the destination . . . it’s the adventure. But where’s your wife, if I may. I wouldn’t be surprise once you come home, and in the front door your wife’s waiting with a Katana ready to chop your head off.
