Growing up back then, the word dream was just a part of a song or radio comical satiric plots the likes of legendary Lola Basyang and Edong Mapangarap.
Doris Day used to belt a song titled 'Give me a kiss to build a dream on'. Remember the never die melody 'beautiful dreamer awaken to me?'
Today, dreams and dreamers have become big business. Is it any wonder Malacanang and local politburo suddenly turning into mega dreamers?
After all, one cannot continue being big spender without showing the people the big stuff you are made of?
I think dreams are measured in term of figures. Not of the mathematical fundamentals but from a simple vertical point of view.
If you follow the logic, it seems people lacking in height (no pun intended) are those gifted with super colossal fabulous dreams. One clearly endowed with the power of the unknown and good command of mystical fantasies. Enchanted Kingdom followed by “first world in 20 years”?
It is fantastic having a leadership that knows how to propagate its' vision by way of syndicates. One cannot help but wonder, can't super dreams as such not enough to trigger bangungut to the dreamer and why not?
At any rate, if this Alaminos International airport is soon to rise to be included in the world's magical wonders, I pray the dreamers had better start training workers who believe in simple courtesy, honesty and having the knack of assisting weary travelers and distressed people looking for their baggage.
In addition, please include comfort rooms that will not give an early taste of local discomfort. Only then can anyone sing -'such dreams are made of these'
