First Karate regional training and competition

THE Philippine Karate-Do Federation, National Sports Association and the YMCA Dagupan City Karate-Do will hold the First PKF Region I Developmental Championship and Training Camp dubbed as “Impact Karate Challenge” on October in Dagupan City.

This big sporting karate event in Region I is a project of the Philippine Karate-Do Federation in response to the Philippine Olympic Committee grassroots development program.

Dr. Enrico Vasquez, PKF Region I Director and YMCA Pangasinan Chief Instructor, said that this sports events will benefit all aspiring Region I Karate practitioners to be a part of the Phil. National Karate.

Team and aims to develop competent coaches, judges, and referees not only in the Region I but a qualified International License Karate Official from Region I.

The top 5 players from each region will then compete to qualify for the Phil Karate Team Training Pool.

A training camp will also be organized to train players and Technical Personnel on the World Karate-Do Federation (WKF) Rules.

The World Karate-Do Federation is the International Sports body of the karate responsible to issue license for karate judge and referee.
