Mr. Oriel, Jr. Your knowledge of Pangasinan’s history is awesome. You are impressive. My hat is off to you.
Other Forum readers may as well agree with me, that you are in the know. Keep up your history prowess. Our province needs your expertise.
For you to say however, that I am, in your words, easily misinformed and jumped into conclusion because I wrote, “Now I know, there is no King in Pangasinan” is carrying your history forte a bit too far with a shade of arrogance.
A little humility goes a long way, my friend. May I urge you to re-read my earlier comments. I think you misunderstood the context under which the sentence was used. It was in direct response to another Forum reader, who ‘lectured’ that ‘Pangasinan wants a governor, not a king’ after he went ‘ballistic’ with the word ‘subjects’. It was in no way intended to imply that there never was royalty in Pangasinan in the past.
I know a little bit of history of the province, Mr. Oriel, Jr. I am a Pangasinense, just like you. But thanks for the crash course.
