This story tells of a teacher in a remote village up north. His peers have judged him among the best and brightest, an expert in social studies and Philippine history. He is not deterred by the weight of responsibilities entrusted to him in helping train and preparing children to become outstanding citizens.
Class started with him asking, who among you has not heard of words like mandedengoy, nadengoy and dengoyan?
Sensing his pupils perked up, he followed it by saying, if you are asked what colors will you use to describe each word to give it a true meaning? It may help knowing these words are about a con operator, victim (s) and a process.
Edam Gouda was first. I'll use the rainbow color connection because it exposes Gloria Arroyo at her best. She is a yellow swell headed lady believing people are tickled pink in love with her. She loves gray whenever she wants to duck important issues. She is blue in the face whenever cabinet officials are caught spinning white lies. She sees red in us critical of her antihuman policies. She loves to thunder believing her army can defeat the enemy using kuwitis and labentador!
Next was Velveeta. She summed up her outrage simply by maintaining, I suspect, myself along with million others, ended up nadengoy by this crafty lady. I am coloring it with red as in blood spilling on the streets if her blatant dengoyan antics do not stop.
Class dismissed. All passing congratulations!
