Emmanuelle:
Quite a long time I spent searching and looking, who's this writer of fabulous array of journalistic expressions, in metaphors, similes or soliloquies in a grand desire to write in magnanimity shrouded in mystery.
Your nom de plume, I thought, is just a fantasy like those great men and women of letters who tried to hide the ingenuity behind the written word.
Emmanuellle, the Messiah. a savior for the lost souls who love to open a book or two. At first glance, I assumed he was a man of the cloth. How wrong I was.
Eureka! At last, you shot yourself to the surface like any warm blooded animal who swims the open seas . . . a breathe of fresh air. . . . gives you away.
Allow me to ask you this question. How can you write these beautiful lines and govern Pozorrubio at the same time? I regard a lady who could write, politics is out in the melodrama of her thinking.
Politics is to play hardball with the ups and downs of the town's intrigue . . . the innuendos . . . the half truths . . . while a columnist like you, lay down the facts of life as they evolve around the truth.
Emma T. Chan, Madame Mayor, this could be the epiphany of what you desire. To serve the people of Pozorrubio needs all you can muster . . . the acumen which at times will turn facetious but mendacious and as mayor, is a message powerful enough that your gender can deliver.
