The Benjie and his bragging rights? What a guy? Still hallucinating?
Telling Mayor Al he expected to be surpassed in what he did for Dagupan, is a discourtesy, an insolence not only to the new mayor but to Dagupenos as well.
The Benjie is sick - as I said all along - and he needs a shrink pretty bad to get his act together.
To the unknowing public which The Benjie had hoodwinked all these years, P250M looks like a huge amount he left supposedly in Dagupan's coffers. But, is it the real McCoy or Pandora's box?
It's now up to Mayor Al to tell the people, that what he inherited from The Benjie are a bunch of IOU's Dagupan is obligated to amortize. Your duty, Mr. Mayor, to open the kitchen and let the people see what kind cooking was done all along. This is first in your financial agenda.
Now, that the transition is in place and the likes of Rafael "Excuses" Baraan fleeing like a burglar in the night . . . legal chicken Din-Din Baniqued got a thorough whopping . . . Nick Aquino still holding proceeds from the bangus festival like a Judas . . .Vlad Mata driven with a stake in his heart . . . Jojo Guadiz III on to new hunting grounds leaving his cousins, the Siapnos, holding an empty bag and the Lims and their ilk scattered to the four winds.
It's time for Mayor Al to look himself in the mirror and do the inevitable - to pursue legal action against those who did Dagupan wrong like what the new mayor of Santa Barbara promised to do.
When in doubt . . . prosecute!
