If not the Diversion road, a statue it is

Mr. Jeremias Andrade Carrera:
Well, Jerry, what more fitting than naming that diversion road in honor of Ermin Garcia, Sr.? Instead of a statue enshrined with a plaque at the base explaining who this person so honored is, is a sign at both entrances of the road proudly proclaiming the martyr of journalism.
We can achieve such goal by just an ordinance passed by the city council to grant such infinite recognition to a man who rightly deserved it. It was done before with that bypass road from Lucao to Calasiao named after Jose de Venecia Sr.
However, there's a burr in the saddle. And it's not paltry. I would assume we have no problem with Speaker Joe unless Arroyo pokes her nose.
Passing thru coming from Bonuan, I saw a sign boldly trumpeting the project, is a joint venture of the Speaker and the President. It did not say Dagupan. Sign of things to come?
If a deal was made in Binloc, a foregone conclusion, in the naming process when that road opens . . . . ladies and gents. . . we have a hard nut to crack.
That statue then, is the name there is.
