Reconciliation? What reconciliation?

It's not only a misguided choice of word - out of its portrayal - of what Al Fernandez and The Benjie, is trying to put a face. Try to decipher the real meaning when this foolish clowncilor Chito Samson raised their hands to a seemingly admitted attitude towards adaptation of let-bygones-be-bygones.

AL Fernandez's downcast eyes. . .and smile of an snow leopard. . .and The Benjie's quavering lips, the unnatural laugh. . .that laughter of a hyena. . . tells everything, nothing is forgotten or shelved. If they cannot see each other eye-to-eye, what then? It's a breach of protocol this clown Chito Samson wearing a shirt aptly named Brazil, that he forgot he was stepping on grounds he did not even know and realized its meaning.

In hindsight, this buffoon Samson did not see the implication of which these two protagonists would not hold hands in friendship. . . being mediated by him. . . who could not be trusted by both sides.

This is a truce, pure and simple. A suspension of political combat for a period of time. It's that time where The Benjie will recuperate and lick his wounds for another fight three years from now. It could be the sword hanging over Al Fernandez's head.
