Bring the war to the enemy

Well, every election, the landscape is inundated with eyesore posters in violation of the law, the Comelec is helpless to enforce. It is fatuous, insipid bordering on the lunatic.

I say, “Bring the war to the enemy”. This is the only solution I can think of. Have the law amended that covers political campaigns of both losers and winners, to establish a fund to be subsidized by both for clean-up managed by the Comelec. This fund should be collected as a mandatory requirement upon filing of the certificate of candidacy.

It is akin to what the Bureau of Immigration does on its exit fee . . . the departure fee of P750 pesos . . . pay first before you fly. It will not only facilitate the eradication of this problem once and for all, but it also creates jobs.

Waiting for the good graces of the winning candidates to scrub, sweep and peel off the mess, is an exercise in ineffectuality.

What would you do when the horse has left the barn? Let them be accountable to the filth they abandoned behind.
