The making of an investment province or tourist destination: There must be good environment for investment and tourism which means less corruption, peace and order, political stability, and good infrastructure are present.

How can you attract investors and tourist when there is inadequate tourism facilities, the place is filthy, no assurance of security or peace and order, and no assurance that extortion by politicians and government officials or rebels will not happen, and there is no political will by those in power.

One of the 12-point agenda of JDV is to make tourism as an economic base to generate revenue, which is good. But how do you attract tourist when you can not assure the safety of the tourist and your nation is always in the watch list of nations to be avoided?

Some officials and reporters talk of Hundred Islands as world class destination but is it? Without adequate toilet facilities, filthy and polluted?

To prevent the "algal bloom", there must be no pollution. The algal bloom is an indicator of pollution because of the heavy loading of nutrients coming from runoff and domestic waste. I believe it is starting to happen in some parts of Boracay.

Bonuan, if it is to be a world class destination also requires massive, expensive, and properly planned urban renewal which I believe is beyond the will and capability of anyone unless JDV and GMA will have the will to do it as a national tourism project.

That requires a separate sanitary sewer system and drainage system and a sewage treatment plant, which is also needed if the Lucap/Hundred Islands is to be developed as a world class tourist destination.

There are plenty of engineers, architects and planners there in the Philippines with world class experience but maybe they do not want to be involved because of CORRUPTION.

Why is it that CORRUPTION is always the key word for the Philippines to advance? Let us stop it by doing something that will eventually eradicate it, just like what the late Ermin Garcia Sr. did and what the son Ermin Garcia Jr. and Mr. Pontaoe and Mr. Delfin is continually doing.

Let us be part of this campaign-“STOP CORRUPTION". For the other reporters, stop the "NEWS FOR SALE" so that the corrupt politicians and officials have no place to go.

I STILL BELIEVE THE FILIPINOS CAN DO IT TOGETHER.
