Mr. Pedro Macasieb,

JDV creating disunity in his own party? Well, you are out of the kitchen. Let me explain. To be Speaker of the House, you must be a recognized leader, the capability to unite your fellow congressmen in your party, behind you, to get elected this powerful post.

JDV excelled seeking the common ground, the ability to communicate - that’s why he’s the speaker. If you arraign him dumping Lambino – like others say – for Jamie Agbayani and declaring Pangasinan a political free-zone, but not his district is frivolous, and wouldn’t hold water.

Free zone applies to the provincial, congressional and municipal level of candidacy for balance. FYI. Two of the reasons why the turn around from the standard. The candidacy of Lambino and Agbayani. Lambino is the chairman of Lakas-CMD co-chaired by Agbayani. Lambino became the official candidate while Jaime Agbayani went independent but still connected to Lakas.

Gallant Soriano and Rachel Arenas of the 3rd district. Soriano was sworn into Lakas-CMD by Agbayani while Arenas was by Lambino. See the conflict of fidelities? To smooth the feathers of everybody involved, JDV’s uncanny sense of political direction initiated free zone.

Pangasinan was declared a free zone to promote leeway and to each his/her own, because every opposing candidates are affiliated with the same political party that JDV is president. That’s fairness. Charging him of not being fair is unfair.

Now, the crème de la crème. Your words, “why doesn’t JDV run for senator”? Holy molly! Holy cow! Holy cannoli! Holy whatsamatta with you? Why should he run for senator? You forgot Speaker of the House, is one of the three most powerful posts in government, the president and the president of the Senate. Third in-line for the presidency after the vice president. He also controlled the country’s purse strings. Why should he give up such powers to a lowly senator? He got more money in his Country Wide Development Fund than a senator would have. Everybody’d seen how these funds were used for the common good.

JDV…a man for all seasons. What's good for JDV is good for Dagupan and the 4th district. JDV…Joe, Dagupan's Victory!
