Rev. Oscar V. Cruz D.D.,

Well said, Reverend. It is a descriptive statement on the pandemic corruption which the Philippines has become. Solutions to this problem is elusive because of the political cynicism that put the people in a bind. Unless, the politicians behave and the people believe themselves in such a way to promote democracy, I see nothing. What I see is gathering of clouds of misery.

You mentioned OFWs. You got it centered on the bull's eye. Records show the conditions these migrants live in are at most subhuman. Domestics working in Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Lebanon are subjected to contempt tantamount to human bondage while the administration is wallowing in the bloody remittances taken from these people. Is it worth the risk?

Such a nice piece of column writing. There is this catch, however. What caught my inquisitive eyes is your description of a corrupted Philippines in the whole Asian continent. According to what I know, the Philipines is not included in the Asian land mass which rightly described what a continent is all about. The Philippines, like Japan and Indonesia, is an archipelago located in the Asian side of the planet…the eastern side.

Correct me if I am wrong.
