You are right, Mr. Pontaoe, I know nothing about America if you compared it by the way you know America. It is nice to know though that we have some Kabaleyan Doctors in the City of Bethlehem, PA. I am happy to have many friends, relatives and acquaintances in many parts of the world including Chicago where you are currently residing.

Dr. Estrada was right when he said, “Chicago has intelligent, respectable educated truthful people.” I enjoyed the company and hospitality of some of them when I visited the beautiful city that has historical significance with Manila and Baguio City.

Mr. Pontaoe, fyi, I do not depend insanely and/or entirely on the internet like you do for all the wrong reasons. In the same token, I do not underestimate the power of the internet and other modern technologies. It is insane what we can do on the internet and it’s just the tip of the iceberg.

With the internet, we can now make business transactions or manage business in the Philippines regardless of where we are. We can do and accomplish many things 24/7 while on the road or at home. Without so many hassles, now we can easily do many things online like buying airline tickets or calling long distance in the Philippines as if you are calling your next door neighbor. Online, we can now listen to live broadcast of some current events unfolding in the Philippines. We can even receive some news before they are broadcast or printed in the newspaper.

Mr. Ramos, actually we can do many things on the internet even without leaving the comfort of our home. It all depends on what you know, what you like to do and what you want to accomplish.

We have an organization with thousands of Filipino members scattered around the world who are mostly complete strangers with each other but together were able to make difference in the lives of some families and individuals in the Philippines by using modern technologies like internet.

Members of our organization, individually and collectively, have been inspired to pursue activities even in our own simple ways for the benefit of some of our compatriots while enjoying camaraderie.

I highly recommend and encourage Pangasinenses, especially the youth, to become members of this organization. I hope that someday, we can also form a Pangasinan Chapter of the organization just like our Cebu Chapter.

On August 4, 2006, our organization turned over to the Gawad Kalinga staff in Pasig City the fund it raised within its members for the construction of houses. The group also raised funds and provided roofing and other housing repair materials to victims of typhoon "Milenyo" in Sorsogon. Currently, we are conducting the Season of Hope fund drive for several beneficiaries, including victims of typhoon Reming.
