Time for change in Sta. Barbara

With a believable component of candidates for town councilors, Reynaldo Velasco should have a shot in kicking out ex-mayor Carlito Zaplan once and for all from Sta. Barbara politics. The line-up is mostly people associated with Carlito Zaplan except Ampoy Ocampo who won a slot in the last elections against his wife Jinxky. These people jumped ship which means the Zaplan ship is full of holes and sinking.

If this situation wouldn't change which according to some sources Zaplan is broke, nothing in this world with all the powers of LCMD party and Biskeg of Villar can help Zaplan survive. What a disgraceful end to a political career whose abandonment by people he could trust, is complete and absolute. United they stand divided they fall.

Time for change. The town needs a newly minted cook who can deliver the menu out of incompetence. Sta. Barbarians haven't seen the result envisioned by Zaplan for 9 long years of mayorship plus 3 years by a wife who did nothing but sat on her butt.

Now, I can say with utmost certainty and honesty Velasco will be the next mayor of Sta. Barbara. It can be said and truly believable that a person of Velasco is long time coming. Give Rey Velasco a chance to serve his town where he was born. His experience in administration in the rarified air of government is more than enough a qualification to get elected.

It's time for the people of Sta. Barbara to discard those signs demanding a giveaway…an up and up election and let the truth comes out. Let the election of Reynaldo Velasco a vicissitude…a new leaf in the quiescent and inept political environment Sta. Barbara has become.
