Just a humble suggestion

Mr. Pontaoe, thanks for your more profound words and wisdom. I think you might be right when you said, “You’re lengthy diatribe on this issue, is the same old thing since 2005.” I had to admit, it is mainly because the problems that the country is currently facing are the same old things since I can remember.

As we all know, Philippines was being built as a nation since the time of our forefathers. Unfortunately, not all Filipinos are good nation builders. In fact, some are outright destroyers of whatever great things that are previously accomplished by others. The country has many ups and downs but we must not forget that there are also many ups because the country is not down all the time.

You are right again Mr. Pontaoe when you said that nothing happens with all the proposals for change, e.g. Charter Change (Cha-Cha). If I remember it right, Cha-Cha and many other necessary changes were proposed many years ago by FVR when he was the President of the Republic of the Philippines because he wants us to win the future through people empowerment for national development. I wonder why nothing happens with all the proposals for change in spite of the many smart guys like Mr. Pontaoe, some politicians, militants, activists, some commentators writing in the news media and others who believe they have better suggestions to solve the dilemma of the nation.

It’s really so disappointing and frustrating if we cannot win the future but what can I do? I don’t even know how to sing the song que sera, sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be). Like I said in my previous posting, “This is just a humble suggestion, an opinion to ponder with the hope that somebody else can suggest a better way for us Filipinos to win the future for the sake of the country and its people.”

Mr. Pontaoe, I like to take this opportunity to thank you for the suggestion you have given in your previous posting. If you and others think that your bull suggestion is a better way to win the future then, by all means, tell the rest of Filipinos to go for it. Perhaps, after reading your comments, those Filipinos you said who gave it up on Cha-Cha and on unicameral might change their mind and reconsider it again to keep the ball rolling in moving the country forward while waiting for other Filipinos to come out with reliable, excellent and more superior suggestions on how to solve the predicament of our homeland, the land of our birth.

Although I learned early in my life that it is better to be criticized by a wise man than to be praised by a man like Mr. Pontaoe, I like to thank him for his bull comment about my previous posting. I know it is very seldom for a person of his stature to give compliments. According to a Zen book, “10 BULLS” written in the 12th century by the Chinese Zen master, Kakuan, the BULL is the eternal principle of life, truth in action. The TEN BULLS represent sequent steps in the realization of one's true character or the steps that man might take in the process of seeking insight, finding himself and discovering his true nature.

By the way, in case you are interested to know more about bull, I like to suggest for you to read “The Way of the Bull” written by Mr. Leo F. Buscaglia, considered by some as the world’s most beloved author and teacher who can help you find path to peace and fulfillment. Have a nice day.
