Mr. Pontaoe,

You sound like a defeated person giving up all hope on the Philippines. Some people here actually still believe and are hoping for change. And while people like Mr. Oriel are still fighting for what they believe will be for the better of the country, there is still a glimmer of hope, albeit faint, that might just fuel the change we so badly need.

It is easy for you to be so cynical about things, just typing in front of your computer thousands of miles away from where the action is, giving up all hope on the Philippines. For you it's just like watching a reality show on TV where you can just change the channel or shut it down whenever you want to. It's different for us here in the battlefield. We cannot afford to just sit down and accept things for what they are. We will fight for what we believe in even if we think it is an impossible war.

You say the purpose of people like Mr. Oriel is hollow and empty. Well, at least he has a purpose and a grand dream. It does not matter if he is the only one dreaming his dream. At least he has one. Unlike those who are just spectators of the war, giving comments here and there, but never really caring enough for they are thousands of miles away, sitting comfortably in their home in the land of the free.
