Mr. Oriel,

I promised myself not to cross swords with you but you went too far. You're lengthy diatribe on this issue, is the same old thing since 2005. Nothing happens with all the proposals for change.

Filipinos gave it up on Cha-Cha, on unicameral or bicameral forms, on everything argued to be believable. They don't give a damn who's the designated cook - the menu being offered - as long as there's something on the table come election time.

You'd ask, why? Because it's hollow, the emptiness of purpose for those, like you, who never ceases to amaze me, the grandeur of your dream. A dream within a dream. Such profound words and wisdom you expressed which in this time and era of Filipino politics is only to be heard from the left to the right. Meaningless…nonsensical…insi​gnificant.

The​ Philippines you loved is nothing but a flotsam in the sea of unparalleled corruption. Captained by a fool and a drunken crew… they've nowhere to go but down. What will you expect in this grand drama of deception? The evolution we expect from the promises is only good at this typical time. A well crafted consumption for the gullible consumer. Give the people what they want to hear, buy their votes and tell 'em to go to hell. A vicious cycle that wouldn't change.

As far as you want some suggestions, here's one. It's all bull, Mr. Oriel. Already 2007…. sprout up.
