Calasiao Puto and RP politics

This has nothing to do with the current discussion, but I'm looking for a recipe for "Calasiao Puto". I've searched the net high and low to no avail. I put myself on this diet, you see, and now all I can think of is food. We'll see how long this '07 resolution sticks.

About Philippines politics, I'm confused. Can one just change political party at a drop of a hat? I mean they can go to one party from another because they want to run for that other party's vacant seat?

And here's even more baffling, that a political party can actually support or nominate someone who is not affiliated to their party? And have you checked the number of political parties they have? Wow! I wonder if I can run for office through the internet? Hmmm, does anyone out there want to be my running mate? Now what office should I run for? I need food.
