You're absolutely right, Mr. Oriel, if an individual is not qualified to legislate and apply the by-laws of the constitution, he/she should not be entrusted with such responsibility but the electorate seems to keep electing them.

Explain to me then, Mr. Oriel, why the Japanese and The German government system which were set up by the Americans after the war, worked while the Philippine system which was set up under the same model has not.

The difference in my opinion: The maturity, accountability, and responsibility and that is the point of my analogy. Another example of mature government: Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, Australia, New Zealand, India. These countries were former UK colonies and they are prosperous. Immature government under former European regime: Zimbabwe, South Africa, Namabia, Nigeria, Lebanon, Pakistan, etc. they are in the pits.

I could go on and on so my point is…..you got it! Juan Dela Cruz should wake up from his comatose state and do a better job in electing an official who will fight for their welfare and for the country as well. If you notice I did not mention Canada being prosperous on its own accord because its economy is dependent on Uncle Sam. It is a fact!

Now why aren’t there Canadian actors and actresses running for office? Because they are smart enough to make a good living in Hollywood and Las Vegas rather than contemplate in the parliament whether to keep or kick Quebec.
