RP’s weak judicial system

The transfer of US Marine Lance Corporal Smith to US authority showed us Filipinos as a second-class citizen. It reminds me during my first grade in school (70’s) about reading a graffiti written on the wall that says “Tuta ng America”. Now I know the reality of it that I never understood it before.
In America, rapist is jailed for a minimum of 20 years. After the sentence is served, the rapist has to register as sex offender the entire of his life. Judicial system in the Philippines is so weak that politicians could overrule its decision.
