LNU SPECIAL SCIENCE HI HOLDS MEDICAL MISSION — The Citizens’ Advancement Training (CAT) Unit of the Lyceum Northwestern University Francisco Q. Duque Medical Foundation Special Science High School, under the stewardship of fourth year student Jesus Bienvenido Victor Tuazon, Corps Commander, and supervision of Mr. Emil Galivo, Commandant, holds its first ever Medical Mission in Barangay Salisay, Dagupan City, the school’s adopted barangay last December 9, 2006. The officers’ corps and elements of the CAT Unit were joined by doctors and medical staff from the Pangasinan Center for Family Medicine, Inc., the Pangasinan Medical Center, and the LN University’s College of Medicine. The group provided free medical services, medicines and laboratory tests for some 220 indigent patients from Salisay.
SELF DEFENSE FOR JUDGES AND LAWYERS - Judges of the regional trial courts in Dagupan City and members of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines-Pangasinan chapter start their basic lessons in guns safety and defense shooting conducted by the Dagupan Practical Shooting Association. The seminar program, a project of the IBP led by Atty. Joven Maramba in cooperation with DSPA led by Mario Lim, was aimed at training members of both the bench and the bar in handling guns should they decide to arm themselves for self-defense in the light of recent killings of judges and lawyers across the country.
