"Tinda'y Labi"… the night of the long knives… the night Dagupan was put on the block to be butchered… the night the arrogant and avaricious clowncilor Nicanor Aquino pulled a quickie on Dagupan, an scurrilous ploy to hoodwink the city twice as fast as you can blink.

Corruption at its best when a permit was granted by acting Vice Mayor Alvin Fernandez without consideration of a deliberation for an ordinance proposed by the burglar extraordinaire himself, clowncilor Nic Aquino. This Aquino is good, so good that everything he touch turns to gold.

Remember the Bangus festival where the proceeds disappeared like a burglar in the night. The King Midas of Dagupan's corrupt and greasy environment. And with the blessing of the Benjie himself, he might as well do as he pleases. Clowncilor Aquino has this wisdom when he said, "Tinda'y Labi is a private project not the city, so there's no need to demand a higher share of the proceeds", as demanded by Clowncilor de Venecia. What gall. He forgot this ill-money making venture is being done on city property.

What's dumbfounding was why such permit was granted in the first place? Why such deal was done without proper discussion of the minutiae of how much share the city should get? Why haggle for the price when the porker was already slaughtered not when it was alive? Fair share, Clowncilor de Venecia? A deal of a deal? Your hypocrisy knows no bounds.

We have a saying in Pangasinan, " AGNAYARIN AG NATABAAN SO LIMAM NO NANCAPACAPA CA NA LECHON". Honor among thieves?
