What happened to Manaoag?

I just came back from a visit to Manaoag and I'm very disappointed at what progress has done to my infamous little town. I tried going to church on a Sunday and I couldn't even go inside. The whole town of Manaoag was crawling of tourists from all over, including myself. As I walked around looking at the sidewalk vendors' ware, I also discovered that no one talks Pangasinan anymore. Most of the vendors I talked to were transients from other provinces. I'm also very disappointed that the catholic faith is almost lost in the commercialization of Our Lady of Manaoag. Peddlers/beggars accost unsuspecting churchgoers and traffic is a nightmare.

How could the locals, especially the churchmen, allow this to happen? And does anyone know why Holy Rosary Academy is no longer a school? Is there any private school left in Manaoag?
