Retirement is not easy

Retirement? What a word? The closure of a career… the stagnant imposition of something undesirable. The beginning of the end. Is it really a moment to enjoy life's pleasures… away from it all… away from the madding crowd… away from yesterday, today to a foreboding tomorrow? You'll have to reconstitute your mind to what retirement is all about.

Retirement is not easy. The one time in your life when to decide if you are going into the sunset on a turbocharger or on a sluggish Mexican mule. O.K. Let us discuss this interesting part of life. The kids are done from college and flown the coop. You put substantial time with your employer which gives you the right (not a privilege) to call it quits. The bankbook is looking good and possibly a few investments which give you a return every month. So much the better if the house is paid for (only in America). Now, the crème dela crème. What shall you do after you hang your guns for keeps? Set down in front of the tube and waste yourself away? Travel the world to your heart's content and still come back to where you came from? Take a chance at the casinos praying it won't develop into a bad habit?

The solution? To have an alternative towards boredom which predominate retirees, is to get a part time job away from wifey/hubby who nags all the time. Make yourself busy. It's the game….your life.
