“PCE” not thinking?

Jeremias Andrade Carrera
27 Sept 2006

The PCE’s COLUMN is “THINK ABOUT IT”, but is the PCE “thinking” when writing?

Now let us analyze what he wrote this week about a 40-hectare river for developing housing for some 2000 residents who practically live in the water. Then he said “Just how they dispose of their waste for personal hygiene under the circumstances staggers the imagination”. Then he said “Dawana’s proposal will surely fast track the city’s marine wealth development. This can not be ignored by those who mouth Dagupan as the Bangus Capital of the World. Let us put substance to the monicker”.

First he mentioned about the problem with waste disposal (disposal of human waste or excreta), then encourage the readers to put substance to Dagupan as the Bangus Capital of the World. Is this the writing of one who “thinks about what he is writing?”
Mr. PCE is really very good at writing (without thinking). A world-class example of a well-traveled person (may be disoriented due to too much travel) as he claimed?

Flooding in Dagupan

Darius Rayos
27 Sept 2006

I’m a nurse here in Texas and I’m from Dagupan City. I’m the son of Boy Rayos and Nenita Rayos. I just want to inform you that the city of Dagupan should do something about the floods at Arellano Street. Our house is in Bonuan Gueset and the roads going to Bonuan is flooded too. I’m very proud to be from Dagupan so please, there must be an immediate action regarding the flood.

I’m very happy with our mayor Benjie Lim, I think he is doing a great job. The plaza is nice and the toilets are so clean in the market. I hope there are solutions regarding the traffic.

Anyway, I’m going home again on July 2007… just tell me what to do so I can help in our kababayans there in Dagupan.

God Bless! Have a nice day!

The Benjie should disappear

Eduardo Pontaoe
26 Sept 2006

By 2030, the Benjie would be gone b
y then from the most corrupt political landscape you can imagine… Dagupan. Passing the buck is his game after he destroyed the economic vitality of a once thriving city. What a shame.

His new dream of accomplishing something out of the ordinary is a… FOOL’S DREAM. And The Benjie is a highly certifiable fool with all the horsecrap he pulled on Dagupan with the conniving City Clowncil, a lappuppy twisting the laws to his advantage… the people be damned… his legal chicken extraordinaire Din Din Baniqued and the man with that magic touch with numbers, the man who tell lies like pancakes from McDo… (excuses) Baraan.

Who in his right mind would invest in Dagupan? Who got common sense will throw good money into the fire of governmental mismanagement? This new brainstorm coming from a befuddled white mass is not new… it is a new approach cooked by the stooges around him who thought they could get away with murder.

The last gasp of a man drowning in the whirlpool of deceit and malfeasance who will grab at anything to survive. Pathetic.

My message to The Benjie and to all those around him. Give the people of Dagupan break. Go… disappear… don’t ever show your face in Dagupan again. You outlived your usefulness.

A Pangasinense on Philippine Idol

Rod Dingle
26 Sept 2006

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Rod Dingle - President of the Pangasinan Province Association of Australia - Sydney - and formerly of Pozorrubio, Pangasinan.

I was wondering if I am able to appeal to your readers to watch Philippine Idol on Saturdays on ABC Channel 5 and vote for KEN DINGLE.

Ken’s parents - Dad - TONY DINGLE - was formerly of Barangay, Pozorrubio, Pangasinan and Mom - ESTELA PALAGANAS DINGLE - was formerly of Barangay Baloking, Manaoag, Pangasinan.

Ken had many fond memories in both towns - during his young days.  He is a very dedicated, kind, talented young man - and truly treasures the gift that God gave him and is now sharing with millions of Filipinos.

Ken speaks Pangasinan and Ilocano fluently - an attestation that in spite of him bred in Australia, he remembers and looks back to his humble beginnings with pride.  At the back of his Mom’s house in Manaoag, is a “karayan” where as kids, they used to go and wash clothes, swim and simply had fun.

In Pozorrubio, Ken used to run around in the “ka-o-ma-an” chasing the “kandings”, “pato”, “manok”, etc.  In that very early age, he already has the gift and talent from singing - and had won considerable talent quests around in the Philippines.

Thank you very much for the opportunity to share this with you and your readers and would appreciate very much if you could print this in your Newspaper. If not possible, then that is okay as well.  We sincerely respect and appreciate your position and support.

Salamat ya bal-baleg.  Please do not hesitate to email me - if you have any questions.

Kindest and warmest regards from Sydney, Australia

ROD DINGLE (Ken’s Uncle)
