Stealing our dignity and wallets

Edener Benitez Fabella
12 Sept. 2006

I bet people responsible for this e
gregious assault on the city’s coffers will not even bother claiming it is an isolated case (a favorite whipping boy of ruthless and heartless thieves in government). They know it is not isolated but widespread, rampant and blatant misuse of people’s money. Bakit nga naman hindi e malake ang kikitain di ba? At the very least, if there remains an ounce of decency on the part of these perverts, they should immediately put this equipment on dry-dock and get rid of the rust through sandblasting. Do what is necessary to rehabilitate this equipment and then place a huge ‘For Sale” sign or offer it to private contractors? Bakit hindi magkakaroon na naman nang opportunity to fleece it some more di ba? Today’s generation probably don’t even know the extent of the systematic looting done over years by these low lifers otherwise known in our country as respectables and honorables. Anyone besides me remember the ‘Japanese Reparations’ program? Japan almost obliterated our country by their invasion with countless deaths attributed to their disregard of human lives. As proviso (or one of many conditions imposed on the Japanese government) they agreed to assist financially on efforts rebuilding infrastructures and providing our government; machineries and equipment such as; payloaders, bulldozers, roadrollers etc. etc. Guess what happened and how fast the benefits from the program lasted in the hands of these low lifers, leeches and scumbags who we continue electing to high office? For the destruction of our country with so many deaths, Iilan lang ang kumita sa programang ito bigay nang Japanese government. Truly sad but we (Filipino people) continuing to be meek and easily intimidated, if we do not assert ourselves and demand clean governance once and for all, they will continue to pick your pockets. When picking your pockets become measly and bothersome, be afraid of what these perverts will steal next. They have succeeded in stealing your dignity and rights not to mention your wallets, your souls are next unless you decide it’s time these bums must all go. We can use this dredger to get rid of them. Oras na para tayo naman ay maginhawahan sa walang puknat na nakawan sa gobiernong Filipino… agree?

How to deal with political corruption

Eduardo Pontaoe
12 Sept 2006

The dredging machine was an idiotic i
nvestment from the get-go since those clowncilors and The Benjie decided to buy it. It was a boondoggle that even the lowly citizen of Dagupan could understand that if a machine is seen floating around without an operator and out of gas, it can be concluded the situation of the city is akin to it. The ultimate insult the City Clowncil, The Benjie, the administrator (excuses) Baraan, the city legal chicken Baniqued can pull without remorse, without semblance of decency….the irrelevancy of public officials gone amok. Now, the city is precipitously close to bankruptcy. And The Benjie has still the guts to say; the city should be judged not on the financial condition but on its performance. What is he talking about? Was he smoking Panama Red, Hawaiian Black or the most lethal you can find in the market…the Mexican Chinchimilla? Or, too much travel to China has his mind muddled by the pollution that’s so prevalent in the Chinese landscape. How lucky these numbed jerkos are. If this is America, we could have seen indictments on corruption, kickbacks and schemes to defraud the people. The former governor of Illinois, Ryan was indicted on corruption of selling licenses to ineligible drivers. Found guilty and sentenced to 6 years in the clink. All those close to him were sentenced to do time. Next in line is the powerful mayor of Chicago….Rich Daley. His patronage chief was found guilty and is due to sing like a canary. If Daley is indicted, you can bet your dime he will spend some time in the hoosegow. This is the way America deals with political corruption. Unforgiving.
