CSC dismisses Manaoag principal

MANAOAG - The Manaoag National High School (MNHS) is now without a principal after the dismissal order by the Civil Service Commission was served on incumbent principal Agnes Raguinan.

The CSC, in its resolution No. 06-1285 dated July 18, 2006 which was received by the CSC Provincial Office on August 9, 2006 and coursed through the Pangasinan II division office   ordered the dismissal from the service of Raguinan.

The order stemmed from the complaint filed by Rizalino Agpalo, a former MNHS principal that questioned the authenticity of the school credentials of Raguinan. The complaint was investigated by the CSC central office.

The CSC found prima facie evidence against Raguinan and later adopted a resolution finding him guilty beyond reasonable doubt, thus ordering her dismissal from the service.

Raguinan had appealed for reconsideration but this was dismissed.

According to Wilhelmina Lomibao of the CSC Provincial Office, the CSC order was  forwarded August 10, 2006 to the office Pangasinan  II  Division Superintendent  Atty. Armando Aquino based in Binalonan  town, for the agency to implement the order.

She said that although the order is executory, Raguinan can still avail of the right to appeal under the law.

Raguinan was not available for comment when sought by PUNCH. - A.P.E.
