Mr. Oriel,
I totally agree with you discussing religion and Christianity in the environment you outlined in the first paragraph of your 25 August posting. I participate in my cousin’s Christian forum who is a US Naval Officer. I’ll be glad to forward the site to you and learn from your insight offline and in his forum. As you know this site is his own as officially DOD has limitations on religious expression. In line of history’s lesson, aren’t the Jihadist and Ayatolahs mullahtrocracy of today following the same path Christians nations when they had full kingdoms to rule? They wanted full religious control of their people and export it overseas. Wasn’t the Spanish flag planted in the Philippines in the name of God and Spain? Just remembered a fellow activist during the ’70s in California reading how” Roosevelt proudly proclaims to rule the Philippines to Christianize it after 300 years of Spanish Catholic rule.” Just tidbits of religious beliefs that we students of history could learn and discuss in the appropriate forum lest we bore and annoy disinterested people in the Sunday Punch forum.
