Groundbreaking for the Pantal Bridge put us in the right direction for our homegrown contribution to nation building. But our bangus industry is in limbo. We’ve been surpassed by Taiwan and Thailand in volume of exports, a copy cut industry from us. They have better high-tech bangus culture techniques and their packaging is one of the best. Now let’s focus on our mango fruit bearing trees. The provincial gov’t should put up pilot projects on how to dry mangoes using a food dehydrator so that at peak season, mangoes will not just rut, but dried and packaged for our domestic market. Farmers lose out, way too cheap during the peak season. I’m a simple farmer, and I don’t know how it’s done. Gov. Agbayani or Spkr JDV, make it your resolve to address this problem. Make Pangasinan high up in the totem pole!!!
