Dear Mr. Manuel,

We set up a call center here in Dagupan, and applied for BOI incentives. We got the BOI incentives, and we didn’t have to pay any ‘grease-money’ for it. The BOI people were clearly under orders to help BPOs succeed.

The same goes for TESDA. (www.tesda.gov.ph). We set up a training center for call center agents. We submitted their requirements and got accredited. Again, no grease money was involved. Again, I was told, that this is because orders from the TOP was to help BPOs succeed.

On top of that, TESDA is handing out 100 Scholarship grants of 5k per student to enroll in call center training classes. This is for region 1 alone. For the entire country, I think their budget to help further develop call center skills is 500m.

I will let you decide for yourself what this all means.
