RE: Classroom lack imminent in city

I am wondering why Ina ng Bayan and Iron Lady of Asia has not yet adopted the 7-11 enterprising doctrine to solve the problem of classroom shortage. Having 24-hour continuous classes each with 100 students in attendance will effectively eliminate lack of classrooms in the country, don't you agree? Now, instead of bullying a cabinet secretary for having the temerity
stating that 6,000+ classrooms are needed (based on 45 to 1 ratio), the heroine, expert of economy matters and better known as the 'no other alternatives of the famed "hello garci -let's move on" fallacy should just have borrowed the book on 7-11 and Wendy's.

I can only feel sorry for today's youngsters who need to elbow their way into a classroom. I remember when I was a young boy in high school, we were in school from 7:00 AM, home for lunch at 12:00PM, and back to school till 5:00PM. We also needed an hour for PMT time while others helped in the principal's office to avoid it. Homework was a great source of fear among us
but we loved going to school especially when there were less than 20 of us in each class divided in 3 separate sections. I suppose it is not fair to compare our generations to what is happening today. After all, Philippine population then was only about 26 million against 88 million Filipinos
today. Boy, we sure are a prolific society and we can thank the church leaders and our top leadership for not having the political will to address the ballooning numbers.

As parents, would you be encouraged to send your children to school knowing there is little chance of them getting quality education just by the sheer number of other students vying to get the teacher's attention?

In other words, temper tantrums and insecurity will not solve any of these problems. Leadership and honesty in the manner the country's coffer is being spent will do the job.
