When a candidate tries to run for a public office, he/she tries to do all means to win. This also includes buying votes, or offering positions or jobs, etc. Most politicians know that most of our cababayans desperately need and so during election they offer some temporary relief to just win their votes. We always make mistake when it comes to electing the right person to serve the people. One of the reasons is that most politicians are good players during the election time. They know how to sing and dance to any tune. Good Leaders are rare. Some people around a leader’s turf also contribute to the total corruption in the government. One of our best chances in order to help the country is to educate or inform the people on what is happening around and that’s what some of our media men are doing. Thanks to Sunday Punch who is candid with its reporting. Hopefully the people who are affected with issues will take some steps to rectify the situation instead of being defensive or making threats. Mr. Lim: Sir, just do your job. You are the commander-in-chief in the City Hall. You exercise your power to fix the issues. Most people in Dagupan City chose you as their Leader; prove to them that electing you was not a mistake.
