“Taptosilong- silog” or Tapa, Tocino, Longanisa with Sinañgag, is the name of the game for the gourmet “aficionados” of Dagupan or anywhere in the country. Serving these foods on the table in a morning with cups of chocolate or Barako coffee oftentimes makes your day. Supposedly.

In this day and age, it’s quite extraordinary to promote such mouth-watering recipes, which the end result is sudden death of stroke or heart attack.

Was there any warning by the Philippine Medical Assn. that such food offering is detrimental to anybody’s health?

High blood pressure affected by mind-upsetting cholesterol and triglycerides are the causes why the offshoot of Filipinos with this disease climbed so rapidly and goes with it the onset of diabetes.

High blood pressure and diabetes combined and the unrestricted stubbornness of the Filipino to believe in the consequences, is sure is, a guarantee of slow and debilitating death.

VYTORIN and LISONOPRIL, anyone?
