Re: No Small Town Lottery in PangasinanWhat’s wrong with the STL in Pangasinan? Just because of the strong opposition of the Bishop, the provincial board will have to forego the progress for the people?
What’s there to study? If the other provinces passed legislations to legalized STL in their turfs to collect revenue and promote employment, whose going to get scared from the hollow ranting of the Bishop?
There is always a time for religion but when the church infringes on the powers of the state, the state comes first for the betterment of the people.
Damn the Bishop’s torpedoes, full speed ahead.
In the way things are seen by the Bishop in his line of sight, that all illegal gambling in the province is immoral, that we can all agree. But, where is the immorality and illegitimacy of such an operation sanctioned by the provincial board?
Go and figure it out.
Like I said before; there are kinks along the way but with strict legal controls, it can be done.
It’s time to stand tall against the Bishop and do the necessary legislation to just push him on the side. He is a thorn, an uncompromising barrier for progress, an archaic entity influenced by the dark forces of the church.
And to the Vice Guv Lambino…. go for it and let the axe fall wherever, whomever it will be.
