Most Filipinos in USA who own a business like Edwin are either into a Filipino small grocery store, video store, realty agent, caregiver retirement home, insurance agent, nursing job placement agency. This kind of business won't usually make you a millionaire. Filipinos in USA are famous for bragging and who cares if you own 3 houses, 4 cars. You pay all of it by installment plan. If you depend only with your income at your small business and your wife salary who worked 3 jobs as a Nurse with no sleep just to buy those houses and cars. If she got sick, you will lose it all any way and still you will never be a millionaire. You only make a lot of money if you buy your houses in 1975. But who can afford to do that at that time when most us Filipinos are just starting to work here and a salary for a nurse at that time is just $800.00 a month.
