Most Filipinos in USA who own a business like Edwin are either into a Filipino small grocery store, video store, realty agent, caregiver retirement home, insurance agent, nursing job placement agency. This kind of business won’t usually make you a millionaire. Filipinos in USA are famous for bragging and who cares if you own 3 houses, 4 cars. You pay all of it by installment plan. If you depend only with your income at your small business and your wife salary who worked 3 jobs as a Nurse with no sleep just to buy those houses and cars. If she got sick, you will lose it all any way and still you will never be a millionaire. You only make a lot of money if you buy your houses in 1975. But who can afford to do that at that time when most us Filipinos are just starting to work here and a salary for a nurse at that time is just $800.00 a month.

Edwin,
I never said that you were mentally challenged. It was your behaviour that I was trying to point out: A person’s name is very important and a person who is not childish should not be engaged in making fun of anybody’s name. I normally don’t do it but just to make my point, I will return the favor. I hope you understand, E-D-W-I-N.
I admire you for your apparent success in life. I was almost disappointed not to see a full page of Sunday Punch with a complete listing and pictures of your properties and possessions for all of the readers to see and aspire for. And while you’re at it, what the heck, you might as well include the whole works, your income tax returns and bank statements.
On the second thought, what’s your point in bragging about your several pieces of property in the Philippines, three homes in California and Nevada, four new cars and a motorhome and the money that you have GIVEN to several people to build their homes or start their businesses?

There you again, Mr. Pontaoe, calling Ms. De Venecia’s class a class of deaf, mute and blind! Can’t you critique somebody without personal attacks? Can’t you defend your position without resorting to name-calling? Let us be civilized, Mr. Pontaoe.

Most Reverend Archbishop,
Thank you most Reverend father that you have given us your flock, this golden opportunity to confess our need in Dagupan via this forum provided by Sunday Punch.
I remember that in 1997, the good Archbishop of Dagupan initiated a signature campaign designed to solicit the support of Dagupenos for the closure of the open dumpsite in Bonuan Boquig that is next to cemetery and the Lingayen Gulf. At that time, we in Dagupan did not have any alternative place to deposit our solid waste for recycle and conversion to some profitable economic activity.
With the new set of officials, the city government initiated a bold move to acquire a parcel of land in Barangay Awai, San Jacinto Pangasinan intended as a place to establish a MATERIAL RECOVERY FACILITY (MRF) for possible joint operation by the people of Dagupan and San Jacinto. But the city’s efforts to propose this viable activity by way of joint operation to close the existing open dumpsites of Dagupan and San Jacinto appears to be stalled for some unexplored reasons that necessitates your kind assistance, particularly in the matter of conving the people of the host municipality to maintain an open mind to study the proposal of Dagupan City.
Your humble servant, together with all others affected by the operation of these two (2) OPEN DUMPSITES (in contravention with R.A. 9003) in the proposed host municipality and in Dagupan City, come to you Most Reverend Archbishop for relief.
This writer wish to consult you other concerns for which the email address of the good Archbishop is requested. Thank you so much for this chance to serve.
Most respectfully,
Joey Tamayo, Dagupan City
