Gambling lords

By +Oscar V. Cruz

Now it is official. Not it can be told. The present government is the biggest gambling lord in the country. Its hands are full of gambling—PAGCOR at the right and PCSO at the left. All other gambling lords of all gambling forms operating in the country combined are small fries compared to the coverage and intensity of the gambling engagement of the government for the rich and the poor alike. It spares no one from strong and open enticement to gambling.

The government under the national leadership has no problem when it wants to raise funds for its own goals and objectives without the least consideration for the socio-ethical implications. That is why, when a big money-making venture is illegal, its response it rather simple: legalize it! Read more

Memoirs of an abused wife

By Emmanuelle

She was beautiful. She was brilliant. She was also one of the most abused of all wives.

Helena was a princess born and bred - a princess to her parents’ eyes. For her were the best of private schools and, upon graduation from college and while still taking up post-graduate studies, the most interesting of jobs. Clowncilors put Dillinger to shame

On SP bent on parking fees:

Well, Well, Well. The dinosaur still alive? I thought this wild idea died eons ago. A museum piece of a relic of the distant past.

What’s happening, HDE Dion? If your agency has jurisdiction over national roads, what in hell is Baniqued talking about?

Is it a done deal, Mr. Dion? Is the consultation you are demanding on this matter, a formality that the goose is cooked? Or, a dog you are with its tail between his legs?

And those clowncilors that proliferate the city clowncil, how can you propose an ordinance disadvantageous to the city? The sharing alone on the revenue collected is outright robbery in broad delight. John Dillinger and Ma Barker would turn in their graves and put them to shame.

The people of Dagupan are taken for granted and the eerie feeling that these people are as damn as they come.
