Hello Mr. Casuga,
Damn right you deserve Arroyo. You obviously are very happy with her performance. I think otherwise. Maybe sometime when you get a chance, look out and see how the country is under her administration. Second most corrupt country in Asia, does that ring a bell?
May I point out to you that credibility has a very big influence on leadership? She severely lacks both. Let me be fair, none of her detractors is any better either. All of them are traditional politicians who are more into lining their own and their cronies’ pockets rather than serving the people. I can only think of one leader who could be a better leader than Arroyo, Bayani Fernando. Please feel free to make your point if you think otherwise.
You cited the election in Basista that no one received any votes except Arroyo. Right. The voters probably were too scared of the mayor, and the mayor got a very fat envelope from Arroyo’s cohorts in return. I remember during the dictator Marcos years on one of the referendums, he had 100 percent of the votes in my town too. Why? The people were scared to vote no. There’s not really free elections in the Philippines, not until the voters are educated enough to understand what they are voting for and not until they are not scared to vote as they chose to. This leads me to point out that Filipinos should have the right to bear arms to protect themselves and their property. I welcome your comments.
