Will the people of Malasiqui remain quiet about the latest killing? The people are neither blind nor deaf. They can probably tell who did this crime or who the suspects are but just like in the past they prefer to remain quiet. Hear No Evil See No Evil. That’s the slogan in Malasiqui. Where majority is quiet evil will prevail. People choose to remain quiet for the fear of their lives. Unless people of Malasiqui will learn how to speak and know how to choose their leaders, our beloved town could be compared to another Wild Wild West where no laws are followed, justice is denied and leaders are violent. With the worsening peace and order situation of Malasiqui, no one will choose to invest in the town. Instead of shouting Abante Malasiqui - the slogan of Mayor Soriano, it will be Atras Malasiqui or Atras Ponsing!!!  I hope that the NBI, the police and the CIDG will unravel the mystery. But again I can see that it will be another unsolved crime. How many more crimes to happen in the future before this killing ends? Only God knows and I pray that God will save Malasiqui.  Election is fast approaching. Maybe it might be worth changing the leaders of the town. It is only through the sacred votes of the people by choosing the right leaders that will lead us to our dream - a peaceful and progressive Malasiqui…
