The Arroyo transition into oblivion is unraveling. Declaring such emergency on the banning of lawful assembly, arresting people on allegations of conspiracy, will tell you that Arroyo on advise from her handlers, is off her rocker.
The least she can do in order to diffuse dissent is to let it go if she got nothing to hide. But, to use strong arm tactics will widen the flames of discontent. Marcos did this and it did not work. This is the beginning of the end. The time has come.
The only way to have an smooth change in government, having no people dying on the streets, wrecking havoc on a shaky economy, is to give up. Give up on the belief that this rotten administration of hers can continue functioning, surrounded by angry populace wanting for a change.
What can you say, Gonzalo Duque? The Arroyo advocate extraordinaire.
