The advance citizenship of Canada, in the political process of Parliamentary democracy, comparing a desire of the Philippines to convert into one, is an overstatement. It's like lemons and oranges. There would be no comparison of whatsoever. Discussing or having the thought that the Philippines will change in it's obnoxious electoral processes, is purely conjecture and academic.
Politics is like geology. It is about time and pressure. Time changes and pressure softens the attitude of people having the desire to improve themselves. We, Filipinos, as a people, will take a millennia or an epoch to gain that independence and clarity of vision to govern ourselves. I hope it's not too late.
