Fishpens, too much for Benjie

THE city government is up against seemingly insurmountable odds when it deployed its forces in a new attempt to demolish illegal fish pens that are still cluttering various rivers starting last Monday.
Mayor Benjamin Lim, knowing that his July 15 ultimatum was defied by the fish pen owners, formed eight demolition teams to undertake the clearing operations aimed at restoring the lost vitality of various rivers.
