Insurance for barangay tanods soon

BARANGAY security forces or tanods will be given insurance benefits starting next year when the Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) passes a resolution seeking its approval. The city will also provide each barangay with one base radio and one hand-held radio to be used for emergency purposes. City Mayor Benjamin Lim bared these during the closing ceremony of an orientation seminar and mass oath-taking for barangay tanods on December 7 at the People's Astrodome.
